Ski Resorts in Alaska

Alaska is renowned for its perfect conditions for heli-skiing/boarding. The snowfall here is legendary with Alyeska, Alaska’s premier resort, serving up an impressive average of 1,778 cm annually.

Getting there

  • Fly into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport which is the closest airport to most of Alaska’s ski resorts. Many flights connect via Seattle (the closest major airport to Alaska) although there are also direct flights from other cities in the US. If you’re heading to Eaglecrest Ski Area, which is in southeastern Alaska, fly into Juneau International Airport instead.
  • Best way to resorts from Anchorage is by renting a car and driving or booking a transfer to the resort. The journey typically takes 1- 2 hours with incredible views along the way.
